My Life as Alien Monster Bait (The Incredible Worlds of Wally McDoogle #2)--- Product Description
"Hollywierd" comes to Middletown! Wally's a superstar! A movie company has chosen our hero to be eaten by their mechanical "Mutant from Mars!" It's a close race as to which will consume Wally first - the disaster-plagued special-effects "monster" or his own out-of-control pride. . . Until he learns the cost of true friendship and of God's command for humility.

Hollywood meets Wally!

I liked this book because it uses much humor and teaches a valuabe lesson like all the "Wally McDoogle" books. In "Alien Monster Bait," Wally learns about pride and treating others more special than some people. My favorite part was when Wally got cut out of the film and Opera screamed longer than him. This is a great book- I recommend it for anyone with a sense of humor.

About [Books] My Life as Alien Monster Bait (The Incredible Worlds of Wally McDoogle #2) by JohnKwok's review
Everyday mischief that we can all relate to

Sludge Productions has come to Middletown to make a movie. Wally McDoogle tries out for the role of screamer and nabs the part. Then everything changes. His identity shifts from Dorkoid to famous actor. Everyone wants to be his best friend, including the beautiful and popular Melissa Sue. But that's not the worst of it. His teacher, his brothers, even his dad are all sucked in by Wally's stardom, and they all want something. Can Wally please everyone? Or will he succumb to all the attention by turning his back on his best friends?

Bill Myers has created a wonderful character in Wally McDoogle. He is funny, sarcastic, and gets into everyday mischief that we can all relate to. In this volume, Wally, a writer, is working on the story of Brawn, James Brawn and his attempts to stop the evil villain Lizard Lips from stealing all the commercials from Hollyweird. Myers uses this quirky character to show that being famous isn't so great after all. All younger teens will enjoy the laughs in this book.

About [Books] My Life as Alien Monster Bait (The Incredible Worlds of Wally McDoogle #2) by NancyStewart's review
Wacky truth!

All the Wally McDoogle series are great reads to put before upper elementary kids' eyes. Wally, er, Bill Myers, has a wild imagination that he lets run free in this series! Each book addresses some problem or weakness pretty common to most of us, and then Myers has Wally take it to an extreme to make a point. In this second story, Wally gets a chance to be in a movie being filmed in town. Turns out he is to be "eaten" by a mechanical "mutant from Mars". Of course the machine malfunctions, the stars are weirdos, and even Wally's friends get a little weird toward him, too. Pride can be as big a monster as the mechanical mutant from Mars!

Alien Book

If you like books about Aliens you should read this book. It is a story about a boy who loves to write super hero stories on his lap top Betsy. He gets put on a commercial and everyone starts to like him. Everyone asks him favors but he can't do them. His best friend goes on the set and lets the baby fleas out all over everything. It is the funniest part of the whole book. If you read this book you will laugh yourself dead. It is very funny.

Alien Monster Bait:Two Thumbs Up!
A Kid's Review
I've read several books in this series, including this one.Wally McDoogle,a 12-year-old "Living Disaster Area" who writes superhero stories with the help of his laptop,Betsy,is best friends with Wall Street, who wants to make 1,000,000 dollars by the time she's 14,and Opera, who loves junk food and classical music. Each book is humorous, yet also teaches a lesson from the Bible. For me,that's rather versatile. In this book,Wally stars in a new movie. His popularity leads him to get the attention of Melissa Avarice, the prettiest, most popular girl in school, yet also leads him to forsake Opera.During a sermon,he realizes that he's not right in leaving his friend alone.Opera is raising fleas as a science project and comes-with the fleas-to see the film being taped. He screams and then is grabbed by "Gertrude",the monster. He ends up starring instead of Wally.I really enjoy all of these books.I'm trying to read them all.
